Kheer Bhawani Temple is Located at Tullamulla village in the Ganderbal district of Jammu & Kashmir. The historic Mata Ksheer Bhawani Temple is just 24 km from Srinagar. The temple is one of the most important temples in the state. The temple becomes highly crowd during the annual festival every year in May & June.
The Hindu Goddess Ragyna Devi is being worship at the temple in the name of “Maha Ragyna”. The temple is made of white marble & situated within a Hexagonal water spring. Devotees offer ‘Kheer’ as a prashad to the Goddess.
The temple was built by Maharaja Pratap Singh in 1912 & renovated by Hari Singh later.
This miraculous Kund in temple changes its color whenever our nation about to face any disaster. This miraculous Kund is very famous in Kheer Bhawani Temple. As per belief, the water of this Kund turns into red or gets dark in color whenever the nation about to face any disaster. All it’s the divine power of Mata Kheer Bhawani. Therefore, lots of visitors come here every year to get the blessing of Mata. At about 70 Km away from Srinagar, this auspicious temple is one of the major tourist attractions nearby.
